Online, June 16, 2015 (Newswire.com) - NIGP: The Institute for Public Procurement today announced the appointment of 20 NIGP Chapter Ambassadors to foster greater connectivity across NIGP's 72 chapters, their leaders and Institute board and staff. Chapter Ambassadors serve as official representatives of the NIGP Board, sharing information with chapters about new and ongoing Institute programs and initiatives. Further, Chapter Ambassadors extend the capacities of chapter leaders to express their challenges, opportunities and needs to the NIGP Board and Member Council.
Ambassadors exemplify the values and ethics of the public procurement profession, selected after an arduous volunteer nomination and evaluation process. Members of the 2015-2018 Chapter Ambassador Team will begin their three-year terms effective July 1, 2015.

As part of its 2013-2016 strategic initiative, the NIGP Board of Directors began the development of the optimal governance structure to help shape the future of the Institute and the public procurement profession.
